The FX2 Fiber Optic Flash Unit is today’s best light source for micro and macro photography. The FX2 maintains the shortest flash duration of any professional xenon strobe in its power range, completely eliminating vibration disturbances.
The flash travels through three large .500 inch bore fiber optic conduits each of which has interchangeable light guides. This amazing illuminator delivers daylight balanced flash but also full spectrum light this allows you to shoot with UV and visible flash at the same time. The flash output of the FX2 is so powerful that with the addition of a UV Filter Pod a single fiber bundle can illuminate a subject with ultraviolet light in as little as 1/2000 of a second.

Optional light guides include the Standard Iris Light Guides allowing you to increase or decrease light as needed on each one of the three fiber optic conduits independently with zero color shift. A Focusing Light Guides granting the fine controls of the illuminated spread from more than a yard in diameter at extreme distances down to less than 1mm.
